Jelly Digital Marketing and PR Looks to Diversify the Industry

Jelly Digital Marketing and PR is working to create a more inclusive marketing industry with a new scholarship program for their very own Jelly Academy. The BC-based marketing agency has opened nominations for two separate scholarship opportunities, one for women and one for the BIPOC community. The two scholarships aim to provide equal opportunity and accessibility for minority communities in the marketing industry. These nominations are designed to encourage conversation and help make the world of marketing a more accessible one by providing the opportunity and financial aid to pursue further digital marketing training.

As an industry that relies on an understanding of the demographics and statistics of the market, it is in the marketing industry’s best interest to work with and be reflective of the communities served. Jelly hopes to diversify all areas of marketing and that starts with providing opportunities for further learning. The team hopes that this new scholarship will encourage and empower more women and members of the BIPOC community to consider digital marketing as a career or increase their skills by providing the training and hands-on experience to do so.

The Jelly Academy course is ideal for those with limited experience in digital marketing, or smaller companies without a dedicated marketing team. During this course, trainees will become more confident and equipped in understanding the value of digital marketing and will be able to immediately implement learned concepts in social media, digital ads, public relations, and content marketing.

“This is our small way of ensuring that financials aren't a hindrance to opportunity. We look forward to welcoming a more diverse community to our academy.” - Sarah Clark, Partner.

Jelly Digital Marketing and PR believes that by encouraging a more diverse and representative community, the industry can become stronger. It is in the industry’s best interest to create equal opportunities for everyone in the marketing space.
