On this episode of Marketing News Canada, Darian Kovacs interviews Tiffani Bova, the Global Growth and Innovation Evangelist at Salesforce.
Tiffani has had the pleasure of working with some of the most innovative companies in the world as they look to transform the way they engage with customers, grow their business and create customer experiences. She looks toward the future for disruptive trends while at the same time scanning the near horizon for the real world impact. Her current conversations center around two objectives: customer success and growth.
Tiffani states that, “there are 10 paths to growth, and there is not one single way to grow your business. Using a combination of methods, businesses can grow their consumer bases over time steadily.” She believes that successful businesses need to grow steadily over time, too rapid of growth is not sustainable. Rapid growth leads to businesses running out of resources and often not having enough human capital.
When it comes to events during the pandemic, Tiffani states due to the online environment it is easy to do so much more. She used to speak at a few keynote events each year, but now she can do multiple a day. She says, although it is efficient she hopes it does not stay this way. She believes the most effective improvement would be a hybrid of online and in person events.
Tiffani has written a book, and her main inspiration came from Simon Sinek, who suggested she should. She said, “if Simon Sinek says to write a book… you write a book.” She wanted to make sure she was writing something that she would read herself. She enjoys short, but informative books that are straight to the point.
When it comes to marketing, it is a career path that allows people to start small. She said you can start by marketing for your child's school, or even your church. You can see if it is something you are interested in and something you are good at, and if it is, it is never too late to make a career change.
Tiffani wrote her book in a way that it would always be relevant. The way the topics were discussed allows for it to appeal to anyone. She said for business owners and entrepreneurs alike, it may be useful to read her book once a year at least. The questions asked in this book are relevant to everyone and they keep people thinking about how they can further their career.
Tiffani claimed to be a speaker not a writer, however this changed. After her first book being a success she has seen the impact she has made on businesses' lives. Whether an employee or a CEO this book has relevant questions for everyone.
