On this episode of Marketing News Canada, Darian Kovacs interviews Kayla Osmond, Creative Agency Partner at Facebook.

Kayla is a creative strategic marketer with a demonstrated ability to transform client and agency businesses by fueling big ideas with insightful, data driven marketing strategies, and orchestrating them to execution.

She considers herself a performance driven leader with a passion for storytelling. She is creative and loves to learn. Known for her ability to make things happen, attention to detail and approach to situations, she is a strong contributor to the teams she works with. Kayla is fueled by curiosity and energy for building brands and transforming businesses with creative solutions.

Kayla believes that, “creators are the future.” With the tools available on platforms such as Instagram and Facebook anyone can make great creative work. Something interesting she brought up is how the younger generations tend to be better with these technologies than the older generations, and that they may even have jobs in these fields.

Kayla loves all the different features that Facebook has to offer, her favourite being Marketplace. She loves the convenience of it and the ability to connect people in cities close to them. Whether you are looking for a camera or a new coffee table, there are always sellers in your area capable of meeting your buying needs.

Facebook Blueprint is the place for all digital marketers to be states Kayla. It keeps them informed and up to date with what is happening in the digital ad space. It is great for training and informing marketers about media trends. There is an agency hub that marketers can use that has more curated content for agency side marketers.

She is looking forward to some of the new audio services Facebook plans to offer such as podcasts. She believes that podcasts are the way of the future and they are gaining significant popularity. Facebook plans to have a feature where you can send a snippet of your favourite podcast to encourage your friends to listen with you. When asked a series of rapid fire questions, Kayla answered as followed:
