Previously working for Overstock.com, Geoff is a highly skilled marketer with years of experience. When working for Overstock.com, Geoff was an asset to the email-marketing team. Using his knowledge and skills from previous work and education, Geoff then decided to start his own company in Utah. He is now the founder and CEO of Huckabuy.
Hukabuy is an internet marketing company designed to make websites faster, receive better search results and drive traffic. Using a search engine optimization approach, Huckabuy offers two software services to achieve measurable results and empower companies. The two software services offered are, automated structured data markup and a search engine optimization cloud dynamic rendering service.
The search engine optimization industry unfortunately has a negative reputation, the net promoter score for the industry is currently zero. However, Geoff strives to change users' perceptions towards the topic of search engine optimization by increasing users' web page rankings on Google. Huckabuy has been very successful at increasing websites rankings using search engine optimization tools. It can be stated that using the services Huckabuy offers, most users saw an increase of about 62 percent in just twelve months.
A current trend Geoff discussed was the idea of immediacy. When searching something such as the news, sports scores or even the weather, Google can immediately pull up results. Users no longer need to click on a webpage to find the information they desire. This trend is affecting the information people see as only see the information filtered by Google.
Another trend changing the way people receive information is the integration of devices such as Google Home and Alexa. These devices filter the information people receive heavily as users do not see the information, they only hear it from these devices. This affects the integration of search engine optimization.
When assessing new clients websites, the most important thing to look at is the visual appeal of the website. This includes, how easy it is to navigate, the speed it loads at, is it user friendly and does it benefit the users of the site. If not these will be the first things to be addressed, however Huckabuy is not responsible for the actual construction of a website. Using software, Huckabuy simply optimizes the number of impressions a website receives however does not change the construction of a website.
