Written By: Shauna MacDonald, Founder & Principal, Brookline Public Relations

As we move into 2025, Brookline Public Relations is thrilled to look back on two decades of learnings, growth and wins, and to share some resolutions for the new year! These resolutions reflect our dedication to driving innovation and fostering collaboration to create impactful results for our clients, our team and our community. We look forward to celebrating more client and team wins, keeping a pulse on industry trends and being a leader in the North American public relations sphere in 2025!

Continue to Offer Integrated Service Offerings

Staying ahead of industry trends has always been a cornerstone of Brookline’s success. Our team understands the importance of providing our clients with a host of services. This is why, over the last two decades, we have expanded our service offerings to include design services, financial communications, brand strategy, US-based PR, bilingual services and more! By continuing to monitor the landscape and stay on top of the services our clients desire, we are able to stay on the cusp of industry standards and be ahead of the curve with services.

Deepen Community Engagement

Giving back to our communities is a fundamental part of who we are at Brookline and 2024 was no exception. This year, we’ve proudly supported several non-profit organizations including Field of Crosses, National Music Centre, Osten & Victor Tennis Centre and more. In 2024, Brookline secured an impressive 922 pieces of coverage for Field of Crosses, with an incredible reach of over 55,000,000 readers, viewers and listeners across Canada. This work goes such a long way in supporting these important organizations and the work they do – generating positive news and awareness of their goals and community contributions.

Brookline also proudly supports the next generation of public relations and communications professionals by offering internships, student open houses and attending as guest speakers within the classroom. Various team members also support with guest lectures at Mount Royal University to share valuable insights and industry expertise, offering students a closer look at the dynamic world of public relations that sparked meaningful discussions.

Continued Growth in Canada... And Beyond

With Brookline’s head office in Calgary and satellite offices in Toronto and Edmonton, the Brookline team is perfectly situated to support clients across the country. This year, our Toronto Lead, Jessica Moran, stepped in to support our team with an event hosted by our client dmg events. The Canadian Emergency Preparedness and Climate Adaptation Convention was hosted in Ottawa in September, and our team flew out to provide on-site support, with a huge success and reach of over 207,000,000! In addition to our coast-to-coast support in Canada, Brookline’s US-based PR strategist, Wendy Agudelo has provided support to US-based clients.

Celebrate Wins, Big and Small

At Brookline, every win is a team win. Whether it’s a high-profile client success, a groundbreaking campaign or a small daily achievement, we celebrate together. These moments reflect the collaborative spirit that defines our culture and reinforces the value of each individual contribution. From team gatherings and shout-outs to spontaneous celebrations, we embrace positivity and gratitude in all we do. By fostering an inclusive and empowering workplace, we ensure every milestone is a shared moment of pride and joy.

Lead with Vision

Inspired by where we’ve been and where we’re headed, we remain proactive, innovative and dedicated to our mission of delivering exceptional public relations.

As Brookline reflects on this previous year and the last 20 years, we are energized by the opportunities that lie ahead in 2025. Our resolutions reflect our unwavering commitment to innovation, community and client success. By continuing to lead with passion, deepening our connections and celebrating every achievement, we aim to strengthen our position as a trailblazer in the public relations industry.

Here’s to 2025 and the opportunities it brings!
