Tim Hortons says Hockey is Hers with Tim Hortons Barbie dolls

Tim Hortons teamed up with Barbie and hockey stars Marie-Philip Poulin and Sarah Nurse to show girls that they can be anything, including a hockey player. As part of the partnership, Tim Hortons launched Tim Hortons Hockey Barbie dolls with 100 percent of the proceeds going to the Hockey Canada Foundation.

The campaign aims to bring awareness to the underrepresentation of girls in youth hockey. "We're proud that the sales of the Tim Hortons Hockey Barbie dolls in our restaurants will help young girls get into the sport and also provide resources to grow and support the women's game," said Hope Bagozzi, Chief Marketing Officer at Tim Hortons.

Through the program, Tim Hortons is donating over $215,000 to the Hockey Canada Foundation. This announcement follows Team Canada bringing home the gold medal at the 2021 IIHF Women’s World Championship.

IKEA Announces 24-hour global festival

IKEA will be hosting an all-day festival featuring musicians, artists, chefs, designers and creators that is inspired by the brand’s vision to create a better everyday life for people. The festival will come to life, in-person and digitally and aims to turn living rooms, kitchens, bedrooms and backyards into virtual stages for performances and experiences.

In Canada, the festival kicks off on Thursday, September 16 and IKEA locations will host limited capacity, interactive, in-store activities such as workshops where visitors can learn more about organization, room planning and how to extend the life of their favourite IKEA products.

The homes of Canadians have become much more in the last few years. This global festival reflects how the home has become an even more integral part of our lives.
