PR Fresh Hits Dec 01, 2021

BMO is giving the gift of promotion to small businesses owned by women. The bank’s Wrap the Good initiative features custom, recyclable wrapping paper that doubles as ad space, by featuring images of dozens of gifts, as well as a QR code that drives to a Pinterest board featuring hundreds of shoppable products and gift cards from women-owned small businesses across Canada. Businesses in the gift guide include Blume, Remix Snacks and Mme L'Ovary.

The campaign serves as a timely reminder to shop women-owned businesses and support small business recovery this holiday season. Participating businesses from the BMO Celebrating Women Grant Program who are featured in the shopping guide will receive copies of the custom-designed wrapping paper to distribute in their stores and to their networks.

This is a new and innovative way to not only create gift guides for customers but to promote women-owned small businesses. The accessibility of QR codes is becoming more common as a technological solution and even makes shoppers think twice about the kind of wrapping paper they use.

Gordon Food Service Introduces Re.source - Sustainable Packaging That Is Friendly to Consumers and the Planet

Gordon Food Services make a positive impact in efforts to reduce waste and further educate consumers with Re.source products. Re.source offers a range of sustainable food packaging and is only available and produced by the company.

To ensure consumers have a user-friendly experience, through using designs that can’t be missed. Gordon Food Service includes bold colors, icons, and clear instructions to allow consumers to dispose of the packaging according to the proper recycling, composting, or reuse. Re.Source begins its sustainability from the beginning of creation and to the end-of-life through it’s components of being compostable, recyclable, and reusable.

The education of consumers shows importance in properly disposing and understanding the process of the start and end life of packaging as this can positively impact earth. It is mentioned from Gordon Food Service CEO, Rich Wolowski, that since the start of the pandemic, the skyrocket use of single-use packaging and styrofoam containers have been piling up in landfills.

This is another way brands are going above and beyond to offer smart solutions for issues that their customers care about.

Re.Source products will soon be found from December 2021 and throughout 2022.
