Amazon Ads Brings AI Video Generator to Canada, Unveils New Ad Tools
Amazon Ads is introducing new AI tools designed to make creative production and campaign management easier for marketers of all sizes. The company announced the Canadian launch of its AI-powered Video Generator, followed by the debut of new advertising and analytics solutions unveiled at unBoxed 2025, its annual global conference.
Together, these updates show how Amazon Ads is using artificial intelligence to make high-quality creative assets and performance insights more accessible to brands.
AI-Powered Video Generator Launches in Canada
Following a successful rollout in the U.S., Amazon Ads’ Video Generator is now available to Canadian advertisers through Creative Studio. The tool helps marketers create professional, multi-scene video ads in just a few minutes, and at no additional cost.
Advertisers can upload product images, existing videos, or even a product detail page from Amazon.ca. The tool then generates six video variations, complete with smooth transitions, background music, and text options.
The technology is designed to lower barriers for brands that may not have the time, budget, or production resources to create video content from scratch. By turning static visuals into campaign-ready assets, it allows marketers to reach customers more effectively and showcase products in realistic, engaging ways.
“What excites me most about bringing Video Generator to Canada advertisers is how it puts products in action, bringing them to life in ways that help shoppers get a deeper understanding of their value,” said Uri Gorodzinsky, Managing Director, Amazon Ads Canada and Mexico. “For Canadian businesses looking to create emotional connections with shoppers, this capability creates unprecedented opportunities at the click of a button.”
Video Generator also includes intelligent summarization technology, which can extract key clips from longer videos and reformat them into ad-ready lengths. Users can customize their ads with logos, headlines, and other brand elements.
In the U.S., adoption has grown rapidly. Amazon Ads reports a fourfold increase in campaigns using Video Generator in Q3 2025 compared to Q2, with more than 60 percent of featured products being advertised on video for the first time.
unBoxed 2025 Highlights: AI Tools That Simplify Advertising
At unBoxed 2025, Amazon Ads shared new tools built to streamline campaign creation, analytics, and optimization.
“We’ve always believed in the power of technology to reimagine what’s possible in advertising, for brands of all sizes, for publishers, and for consumers,” said Kelly MacLean, Vice President of Engineering, Science and Product at Amazon Ads.
Among the highlights:
Campaign Manager: A new unified platform that combines the Amazon Ads Console and Amazon DSP. Advertisers can now manage all their campaigns in one place with a single login and centralized billing. Built-in AI features such as Smart Search and Guidance Cards help optimize performance and reduce campaign setup time by up to 67 percent.
Ads Agent in Amazon Marketing Cloud (AMC): A new assistant that helps marketers analyze performance using plain language. It can translate questions like “Which products drove the most new-to-brand customers this year?” into instant, actionable reports without coding.
These additions are designed to help advertisers save time, make smarter decisions, and drive better results across Amazon’s growing network.
The Bigger Picture
Amazon Ads continues to expand its presence in Canada and abroad. Prime Video ads are now live in 16 countries, and Amazon has strengthened partnerships with major media players including Disney, Netflix, Spotify, and Canadian broadcasters like Bell Media, Rogers Sports & Media, CBC, and Corus.
From creative tools like Video Generator to new data and measurement products, Amazon Ads is positioning itself as a leader in AI-driven innovation that simplifies advertising while driving performance.
For Canadian marketers, these tools mark an important shift, making advanced creative and campaign technology more accessible than ever before.
