Twitter testing Communities, Edge to Edge Tweets, Remove Followers Feature
We may only be a few days past Labour Day but Twitter will look a bit different this September for Canadians on iOS and web.
That’s because we have just introduced three new features that will give Twitter a new look and feel, and give people on Twitter more options for the audiences they’re interacting with.
Here is a quick recap of these three announcements
Communities
Communities on Twitter are a new way to easily find and connect with people who want to talk about the same things you do. When you join a Community, you can Tweet directly to that group instead of to all of your followers. Only members in the same Community are able to reply and join the conversation so it stays intimate and relevant. More details on our blog.

Edge to Edge Tweets
The photos, GIFs and videos you Tweet will now look bigger and bolder on your smartphone. Media now stretches edge to edge, giving Twitter a fresh new look in-app on your iPhone.

Remove Followers
Managing your follower list just got simpler. Rather than blocking a follower, you will now have the option to remove them with one click.
