Meet She2.0, Canada’s first marketing company targeting women in menopause
Toronto marketing professionals Jacquie Court and Ramona Gornik-Lee are launching She2.0, one of Canada’s first companies to provide women with information to navigate menopause while providing brands with a way to connect to this growing audience.
She2.0 brings expert advice to women through a podcast series and creates content in collaboration with brands to provide solutions and options about this important time of life.
“When it comes to menopause, most women feel neglected and dismissed by their doctors, OB-GYNS, and the healthcare system,” said Court, co-founder of She2.0. “Many women believe that menopause is out of their control, and they are forced to suffer in silence. She2.0 is changing all that.”
“Doctors tell us there's nothing we can do about menopause because they lack information and therefore dismiss our symptoms,” said Court. “For brands hoping to reach this audience with new products and services, there is a lack of trust from this demographic because when women can’t get the basic information from their doctors, they are significantly less likely to trust a brand to have that knowledge.”
Most women’s concerns about menopause stem from a lack of access to information, and many don’t even know what questions to ask their doctors.
“We created She2.0 to bridge the gap in knowledge and communication between women and brands, and women and the healthcare solutions available to them,” said Court.
“We build the trust between brands and their audience by providing authentic advice and information and vetting the brands we work with to ensure their products are safe and relevant to our audience,” said Gornik-Lee, co-founder of She2.0. “We focus predominantly on the perimenopause market as we see these years as the time for women to analyze their health and course-correct before menopause,” she adds.
There is an enormous opportunity to connect with women in this growing segment. The global menopause market will reach USD 15.4 billion in 2021 and is expected to grow to USD 22.7 billion by 2028. Ramona and Jacquie are advertising veterans and have both experienced menopause due to differing conditions. They have combined their dissatisfaction and research to create a community and content hub that provides women with access to a wide variety of options – from pharmaceutical to natural remedies. Their content debunks myths, provides much-needed information and new research around menopause.
“We want to ensure that the health conditions we’ve experienced due to a lack of knowledge and information don’t happen to other women,” said Gornik-Lee. “Our goal is to connect brands to their audience and to break the stigma around menopause.”
She2.0 creates content that connects brands to audiences in the women’s health and perimenopause space. Through our podcast and branded content, She2.0 aims to educate and inform women of their options because we know that menopause doesn’t have to suck.
