Molson Launches Maple Beerup for Team Canada
Nothing brings out the best in Canadian pride like cheering on Team Canada at the Olympic Winter Games with a Molson in hand. But this year, with over 80% of the medal ceremonies or finals taking place locally between 5:00 am and 10:00 am, the Canadian beverage of choice suddenly feels out of place.
Canadians are used to supporting Team Canada with a brew in hand, so Molson is continuing this tradition with a sweet wake-up call to enjoy during the Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games. Just ahead of the Opening Ceremony the brand has launched Molson Maple Beerup, a quintessentially Canadian line of beer-infused maple syrups to enjoy with breakfast while cheering on Team Canada.
The limited-edition line of maple syrups will be available in three grades, each inspired by popular Molson brews. Dark Grade uses Quebec maple syrup infused with Molson Export and has a rich maple flavour, the Amber Grade is infused with Molson Canadian and has a full-bodied flavour, and the Golden Grade is infused with Molson Ultra and has a light profile. Molson Maple Beerup is produced by Bretelles, a Quebec-based expert in maple syrup and maple syrup products. Each can of Molson Maple Beerup is 540 mL and contains less than 0.05% ABV.
“As a long-standing and proud partner of Team Canada, Molson has been there for some of the most iconic athlete and fan celebrations of all time,” said Katie Rankin, senior marketing manager for the Molson family of brands. “These Winter Games are no exception. We’re still supporting Team Canada and Canadians can still Rep Our Home with a Molson in hand, even if at 5:00am, thanks to Molson Maple Beerup!”
To celebrate Team Canada at the Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games with a Molson, Canadians can enter for a chance to win their own can of Molson Maple Beerup at Molson.ca/BeerUp from February 4 to February 17.
For every contest entry received, Molson will donate $5.00 to the Canadian Olympic Foundation in support of Team Canada athletes, up to a maximum of $10,000.00 CAD. For more details, visit Molson.ca/BeerUp.
